Information Systems

Are you interested in a career working with computers in a business environment? If you would like to combine both talents, then a course in Information Systems is an ideal starting point.

Your course will teach you about office automation, geographic and global information systems, enterprise and expert systems, and the development, strategy, management, security, iteration and organization of information systems. You will also learn about algorithms, programming languages, software and hardware, database design and data handling, ethics, law, and business studies.

On completion of your course (and depending upon your other qualifications), you would be eligible to apply for any IT-related job or to aim for one of the relatively new posts of Information Security Manager. There is even the job of Chief Information Security Manager to aim for and this is a boardroom level position.

With the increasingly ubiquitous nature of databases and computers, there is a constant need for employees who can offer advanced IT skills with a high level of business acumen.
