Software Development

Do you see yourself as a computer programmer? Are you good at math, and especially algebra, for example? If so, a software development course will put you out there at the cutting edge of technology.

Your course will probably be a 4-year Bachelor's degree and, during this time, you will learn the principal programming languages, and study artificial intelligence, system architecture, database design and programming, web design and development, security systems and firewalls, systems analysis and management. You could also consider taking a related minor such as gaming software development. It can be no surprise that, given the massive popularity of internet-based gaming, many programmers choose to work in this industry.

On completion of your course, you will be right up to date and ready to demonstrate your knowledge and skills to an employer. The salaries for expert programmers are higher than average however it is a line of work where it is essential that refresher courses are taken regularly.
