The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance

Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) was shot on a maze-like set with only 28 cuts, each carefully hidden by the film’s creators. It’s a dizzying film that has the proclivity to leave it’s audience members wondering what they experienced.

In the corner of the mirror in Riggan’s changing room there’s a note:

“A thing is a thing, not what is said of that thing”
